Some words of one of the creators of the animation, Quimico/TEG
The idea began on 1998 when my brother an I were watching cable TV and programs on how to make stop-motion animation. We thought on creating a business firm specialized on that; we didn't have the capital but we had the talent for drawing and to create stories. In 1999 we joined a group of friends and we tried to make some things, but we couldnt close the project mainly for lack of money. In 2000 we bought a PC and various video editing software and we started experimenting with an introduction for Channel 33. But the channel suddendly closed.

In 2002, my brother Richard worked with the video editor of the tv show "Mil Disculpas" (1000 Regrets) presented by Carlos Cacho. One day he proposed the production of a stop-motion short for the show anniversary. It took us three months to make it, of course working in our free time. But saddly the date passed by and some changes were made to the tv show, so our work was outdated.

To make this stop-motion nobody taught us any technique, it was only our imagination to coordinate everything. There were lots of working hours to make 1 minute and 11 seconds of animation. In this project worked 6 people, but only 2 dedicated more time (my brother and I). We used nordex (triplay), hard paper, plastiline, clothes and wires. The bodies of the characters were made using light wires used as scheletons and filled with plastiline. Our light bill increased 100 dollars, and we had to buy a 65 gb Hard-disk. To make the video editing we used a Pentium III. And for the frame by frame capture we used a M9000 SVHS camera.
