- I insert the CD on my drive... I wait... and nothing happens.
The CD-Rom supports the AutoPlay and should execute automatically when
inserted on your CD-Rom drive. Maybe this function is not activated on your operating
system. To start the game you will have to make it in the traditional way: find
yourself the file SAMBADEORUGA.EXE on the CD-Rom and double-click it.
- Does not work on NT 4.0 , black screen appears and returns to operating
system.
Normally games does not works on Windows NT 4.0 or other NT versions because limitations
on the operating system. Install the latest service pack to solve this problem
or upgrade to Windows XP.
- When I start the game a black
screen appears and then returns to Windows 95/98. This game needs at least
DirectX 5 components or a superior version. If you are not sure of what version
is already installed on your system then execute the DirectX 7 installer included
on the CD-Rom.
- When I start the game a black screen appears for some seconds.
Be patient, the game is loading.
- ...okay, but screen still is
black and I am tired of waiting.
Look on your Control Panel / Display that the desktop color configuration
is setted to at least 256 colors (8 bit). Better if you set your display to 16,
24 or 32 bit.
- My friend took out
the CD when we were playing and now it doesnt work.
Try to press simultaneously [ALT]+[F4] and with a bit of luck you will take control
over Windows again, otherwise you will have to reboot your computer.
- Sometimes the game
gets slow. This happens when your
system memory is reaching low and Windows load graphics on virtual memory (hard
disk). Restart your system and close all applications before starting the game.
- I have a Pentium IV, 1 Gb. of memory, etc... but everything is slow!
Maybe you have a mainboard with integrated devices. It doesnt help that you have
the best processor or a good video game board if you have a low quality mainboard.
For example a Pentium III 550 mhz with the AGP video card SIS 6326 8 Mb is slower
than a Pentium II MMX 233 mhz with a good PCI graphics board (ex. Voodoo) both
on a good mainboard.
- I have a 166 mhz pentium with
32 Mb and a Trident PCI with 1 Mb... then what can I do? On the initial Boot Options
screen, choose as Video Mode the 8
BIT option. The quality of pictures will be lower but you'll get a better
performance.
